Gift Aid is a scheme available to charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs). It means they can claim extra money from HMRC.

We have an amazing group of volunteers whose kind and dedicated support enables us to do more activities and more Walk & Talks.
Our members are adults with learning disabilities. They are sociable and they like to have fun!
Volunteering is very rewarding and the flexibility means many of the opportunities can be fitted in around a working week.
Winchester’s large student community has formed strong links with the charity, and we are delighted to have volunteers from Peter Symonds College at Saturday Circuits; Winchester College at Tuesday drop-in. Winchester University students get involved with all our groups and Walk & Talks.
We proudly continue offering the opportunity for new volunteers to give back and form long-lasting relationships with our community.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities and there is no set amount of time that you have to offer. We will do everything we can to work around your availability and some volunteering can even be done from your own home.
You’ll receive guidance and training and will be allocated a member of staff for on-going support.
As a volunteer you will be recompensed for any out-of-pocket expenses, and we may ask you to complete a DBS check for any of the Adult regulated volunteering roles (this will be explained depending on the role).
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain experience in the learning disability charity sector, build contacts and friendships in the Winchester area. But mostly it is about doing something good and making a difference to people with learning disabilities and autism and – of course – having fun!
If you are interested in volunteering with any of the above please get in touch.
Or if you have any skills that you would like to volunteer that would benefit the Winchester Go LD community, we would be happy to discuss further.
Please complete our Volunteer profile form to apply.
Your help will make a difference.
If you’d like to talk through any of these roles we’d be happy to answer any questions! Please phone us on 01962 600281 or email email@example.com
We have an exciting opportunity to join our board of Trustees. Our Trustees are responsible for leading and governing Winchester Go LD. We are lucky to have a team of enthusiastic and skilled board members who are looking to welcome a new Trustee with an interest in safeguarding and/or a legal background who would like to share their skills and support our incredible community of people who have a learning disability.
We are also looking for a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.
If you or someone you know would be interested please contact Shelley Talbot: firstname.lastname@example.org
We are looking to welcome a new volunteer to our fundraising team.
Our Fundraising Committee host several small events each year and one major event, currently the Garden and Craft Fair in the spring.
As a member of our Fundraising Committee, you would attend about 6 committee meetings each year and assist with planning and setting up our events.
Our fundraising events are great opportunities for us to connect with our supporters and to share information about the fantastic work our small charity achieves.
Our members play a key part in most of our fundraising events.
This is a perfect role for someone with enthusiasm, energy and new ideas to help the charity to continue its valuable work in supporting the learning disability community in the Winchester area.

We are looking for volunteers aged 18+ with a love of people, who would like to meet up with members for regular Walk & Talks.
Our Walk & Talks help relieve social isolation and promote physical activity. Being outside and having social interaction supports good mental health.
Our groups, both in person and online, offer activities and conversation. These provide a fun way to engage with our members through discussion groups, art, quizzes, fitness and Makaton.
Online groups are a great option for anyone on a busy schedule, less able to get to our location in Winchester. We are also recruiting volunteers to help with our regular in-person groups.
If you have some spare time over the summer and you’d like to join our fun-packed summer programme for members please get in touch. We have opportunities available to support us with our summer group day trips in July – September; the Para PBs on Thursday 25th August; and Smoothie Bike events.
We’d also love to hear from you if you’d like to volunteer at our monthly Go Social evening. These are 7pm – 9pm on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Evenings include going out for ice cream, trips to the pub, bowling, discos and playing bingo. Please ask for more details.
Please contact us on email@example.com or 01962 01962 600281 for a chat on how we might be able to help.
