Tier 2 – High Alert

The new Tiers system has started this week.

Hampshire is in Tier 2 – HIGH ALERT.

This easy read guide by #LDSpeechies is a great summary of what you can and cannot do.  Keep following the rules to help protect yourselves and your loved ones.

It is important to discuss with support and family members what this means and how best to keep safe.

1. People with learning disabilities are more likely to catch COVID

2. If they catch the virus then people with learning disabilities are more likely to be VERY poorly and need to go to hospital.

3. More people with learning disabilities die of COVID 19 than the general population.

There is lots of information and we all know it can be confusing.

We like the full easy read guide to Tier 2 from #LDSpeechies you can download here.

There is also more detailed information from the Government website here.

How Winchester Go LD can help

We are continuing to offer our Walk & Talks as we know these are important to our members’ emotional and physical health.

All our groups remain on Zoom and we have lots of festive activities lined up such as a Christmas Party Drop-in, Winter Wonderland Disco and Christmas Circuits and Fit Classes.  See our What’s on page for all the details.

Stay safe everyone.
