Our focus is to enable adults with learning disabilities to live life to the full with the choices and independence that they want. We promote self development, friendship, self confidence, creativity and learning. We also like to have fun!
We have a range of weekly and monthly activities and we provide advocacy, information, safeguarding and skills workshops.
We respect and promote the rights of people with a learning disability and their families to speak up on issues both locally and nationally. We aim to raise awareness, change attitudes and influence policy.
SUMMER TRIPS UPDATE
We are mid way through our Summer Trips programme. We’ve caught trains to Bournemouth and Shawford, had a BBQ picnic, nature walk, Winchester history tour and pub lunch. This has all been possible thanks to our amazing volunteers Chris, Alice, Adam, Marjon and Martin.
Saturday Low Level Circuits will not be running during August. It returns in September 2021 at the new Sports & Leisure Centre.
Our other regular weekly sessions are still on zoom but please note there may be some changes to our regular programme if we are running a group that day.
Please visit our What’s On page for the details of all our groups.
We are offering Walk & Talks to members and continue to stay in touch by phone to those who don’t have access to the internet. If you would like to arrange a Walk & Talk please ring 01962 600281 or message 07448 804069, 07949 093341 or 07542 747600.
You can also contact us by email: email@example.com.
Staff are committed to continuing the vital work that Winchester Go LD does at a time where our members need it the most – support for social isolation, healthy living, loneliness, exercise, companionship, reassurance. Any fundraising or donations we can get really helps – however big or small.
Donations can be made here. Your funding can really make a difference.
Membership is free to adults with learning disabilities living in the Winchester area.
